Tempe Arts & Music Coalition Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to keep you connected to the gallery, and we never sell or share your information for anyone's marketing. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how to stop hearing from us at any time.

1. What we collect

When you sign up to volunteer, join our list or contact us, we may collect:

  • your name

  • your mobile phone number

  • your email address

  • your interests, availability and the events you sign up for

  • notes you choose to share with us, such as accessibility needs

  • your messages to us and our replies

  • your communication preferences, including whether you agreed to receive text messages and when

We do not collect payment information through our volunteer or messaging tools.

2. How we use it

We use your information only to:

  • confirm your volunteer sign-ups and remind you about your shifts

  • share gallery news, upcoming opportunities, orientations, gatherings and social events

  • reply when you message us

  • keep a record of your involvement so we can invite you to things that fit your interests

We will not use your information for any other purpose without asking you first.

3. We never sell or share your information

We do not sell, rent, trade or give away your personal information. We do not share it with other organizations, sponsors, partners or affiliates for their marketing or any other purpose.

To run our website and send messages, we use a small number of service providers. They handle your information only to provide these services for us. They are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

4. Text messages (SMS)

Text messages are optional. Agreeing to receive texts is never required to volunteer or take part in gallery events.

  • What you'll get: gallery updates, volunteer opportunities, reminders and replies to your messages. Message frequency varies.

  • Cost: message and data rates may apply.

  • Opt out anytime: reply STOP to any message. You'll get one confirmation text, and then no more texts unless you reply START.

  • Help: replying HELP will show your current text subscriptions

Mobile numbers and SMS consent are never shared. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, under any circumstances.

5. How we protect it

Your information is stored with access limited to gallery staff and volunteer coordinators who need it. We keep it only as long as you're part of our community. If you ask us to delete it, we will, except for a minimal record of your opt-out so we never text you by mistake.

6. Children

Our volunteer and messaging programs are for people 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

7. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above. We'll never start sharing or selling your information.
